I'm confusede again and need your help..

I had thought there is a blood test that could test  your egg quality on day three of your cycle.  Do I have this mixed up? I called the Docs office and they told me they just check the follicles through ultrasound but no blood test.  Please help clear this up.  Thank You in advance!

Thank you so much for clearing that up.  The office just told me that she didn't think there was a test like that.  I know I read it somewhere and know they didn't check anything remotely like what you stated above.  I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall when it comes to the doc and I'm so glad I have you all to answer my questions!  Thank You Thank You  Sara

The test you are referring to is a day 3 blood test. It usually consist of Lh, E2 and FSH. These tests combined can give an idea of ovarian reserve.

If you are being monitored by u/s, the dr knows if/when you are ovulating and whether or not the follicle is maturing properly. If your cycles are irregular and missing ovulation, a day 3 panel would be a good place to start.
