Is saliva and CM supposed to fern at the same time?

Hi all!
I absolutely enjoy stalking my microscope for fern patterns, however, I have noticed that my saliva ferns first. Then CM ferns like 4 days later, followed by O like 2-4 days after that. Is this normal?? Why would one mucous fern and not the other? (And no, no food or drink prior).
I am taking mucinex to increase CM, but that wouldn't affect it's ferning abilities would it?

Any info here would be great ladies!

Ooooh, I hope that CM gets those swimmers through the journey!!   Man, I've never seen 4 inches before, I get excited over an inch LOL.  Might have to look into the Mucinex!!

I have to start looking around for a microscope. Thanks for telling me what features to look for because I probably would have bought the ovusoft one too.

I was pulling straight from the cervix and nothing...then today...WAMO! I can't believe it! The mucinex must be working because I wasn't looking for it and there it was! Just like the pictures I've seen! Like 4 inches!! (sorry TMI)
Yea! I actually have fertile CM! And now my CM and saliva are both ferning- that's NEVER happened! I'm so excited! I might actually have a chance this month!

I bought an actual microscope set- slides and all- rather than the little ovuscope. It allows me to dry both samples at the same time. It ran me under $100.00 and works wonderfully for this!

Plus- like you said- it gives me something to obsess on, something else to stalk!

Good luck! And have fun with your new toy when you get it!

I forgot about using a microscope to check for ferning. Now you're giving me another thing I might start obsessing about.  I could see me putting any and everything on there LOL.  But sorry, I have no clue about this but just wanted to add that I'm thinking of getting one now.

But as far as your CM, are you checking your CM directly from your cervix or waiting for it to come down? If you're waiting for it to come down it might take days to fall from the cervix and maybe that's why?
