Low AMH Levels

Hi My Mh Sisters,

Although I will not know my actual AMH levels until my appointment on 4-6-12, I have been told via email by my RE that my levels are indeed disappointingly low. Yes I am only 27 going on 28 but from the research I have done, depending on my results, my chronological age is irrelevant at this point. I have done 3 rounds of Clomid and one round of Clomid with IUI. I believe that my RE did not do this AMH blood test sooner on me because I didn't fit the description of someone who would have low levels.

I am just wondering how many ladies have been diagnosed with very low AMH levels but still was able to achieve pregnancy through a protocol that actually worked? Any and all comments are welcomed! I am hoping to hear some success stories. Again, I know I am considered to be young but I am only looking for personal experiences not guesses. I don't mean to be rude, but I have been told by so many women on here that I am young and should have good eggs left but until I know this to be true, I just need to hear others stories.

Thank You In Advance!

Lovingly,
Jessica xoxo

U might need a different course of meds.  Clomid can sometimes thin your lining in some people so implantation can't occur.  Femara may be a better option.  It can't hurt to ask about it.  Good luck.

That is what I am hoping for because there is just so much info online that its really hard to grasp any of it right now until I find out the facts behind my actual results which will be tomorrow morning. I will definitely ask about femara. I have a feeling that my doc thinks my body was reacting great to clomid but maybe it wasn't and maybe I have been ovulating on my own all along and I just have something else going on. Idk. But I will be updating tomorrow!

Hi there :)

First, I would like to say that I am so sorry you have received the same news as me, its just not fair...

Since I found out the news, my doc wanted me to take a DHEA supplement for at least 2 months, its been known to really help our problem with our poor ovarian reserve.

So I was told to wait until my June period showed up and when I went in for my U/S to get things started, they found a cyst on my left ovary :( So I had to take Birth Control for 3 weeks straight. Well my cyst is gone now so I just started my IVF injections this past Sunday July 1st!  So although I do not have any results yet, I do have a lot of hope for you! I would definitely mention the DHEA supplement to your doctor. Its harmless and it can only help! I will request you as a friend so you can read all of my journals that interest you. They are detailed ;)

Please know that you are not alone in your depression, not saying its good to be depressed but its understandable and with the women on here, the support helps so much and it WILL help you through! *BIG HUGS*
