My transfer & progesterone question

Hello,
So I had my retrieval last thursday. They retrieved 15 eggs, out of which they said 13 were mature and they tried to fertilize those 13. All 13 fertilized.
On day 3, we did transfer of 2 embyros. 1 was a 8 cell grade 3, and other was 10 cell grade 3. My RE grades 1-5.
Anyone had success with grade 3? I was hoping for better =(
Also, we started progesterone in oil Friday morning. Worst side effect was constipation. However, this morning I woke up with the WORST nausea ever. It's lasted ALL day today. Can this be a side effect of the PIO?

I'm so sorry to hear that your other embies did not make it to the freezer, I've had the same problem both rounds but let's focus on the positive! You've got two strong embryos in there. Deep breaths...don't think about anything but today. Take good care of yourself these next days so you will get that BFP. My prayers are with you!

thanks so much for the encouragment! I really need it =(
The RE just called and none of the rest of my 10 embies made it to freezing stage =*(
I'm so sad because we cannot afford to do this again and if this doesn't work, it means i'll never have my own child.

Hey

Congrats on your great news. My clinic does not grade for this exact reason. It freaks people out. Same with the 3 day / 5 day transfer. There is no way of knowing which embies are going to take and for what reason. Clearly if you go to a reputable clinic they would NOT put back embies they know don't have a chance. 8 and 10 cells are great. Put it this way - not all of us come out looking like Giselle and that means not all of us go in looking like Giselle! But we come out and are healthy and happy, so don't fret. Just focus on talking to those little beans into nuzzling into your nice lining.

As for the PIO - yes, it can cause pretty much any symptom listed under "pregnancy". But it is really important for the beans so buy a lot of ginger ale and crackers!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am 8dpet and will be doing bpt test tomorrow. I was getting the pio injections a couple of days before the transfer and it did make me really naseaous at first. The day of transfer I was so nauseous all day that I had to take phentergen to keep from being sick, but it did get better in a day or 2 after transfer. Hope this helps and sending lots of super sticky baby dust your way!!!!
