botox and fertlity drugs and pregnancy

Hi
My husband and I are getting ready to start IVF or IUI treatment in January 2007. I recently had botox done (about 30 cc) This was about a month ago. Will this effect the fertility  drugs I will be taking to conceive or the possible pregnancy. My dr is out of town for 2 and 1/2 weeks and this is driving me crazy!!! I never even thought about it when I had my consult and tests done at my drs. I was only thinking about what medications I was currently on. Can anyone please help???

Thanks for your time

Oh, I forgot to say- if your RE is out of town, call the doctor that injected you and ask them. That way, you won't be wondering and worrying until the RE returns.

Did you become pregnant shortly after you had the botox  injections or was it longer? I'm just driving myself crazy trying to make sure evrything will go smoothly with my IVF treatment

Thanks for your help

I waited a couple years before TTC, but not because of the botox. I just wasn't ready to start trying at that time. But during a botox seminar that I attended, they mentioned that they can't inject pg women per FDA regualations, but that getting pg after injections would not harm the fetus.

I had botox several years ago before I was TTC, but I seem to recall that the botox stays in the muscles of the injection site. I also remember hearing that they won't give botox to a pg woman, but that getting pg after receiving injections doesn't pose any risk.

I think you'll be fine. :)
