Negative HPT 5 days after 5 day embryo transfer

So I regret doing it now, but I took a HPT and it was negative. I had my transfer on 11/10, so just 5 days ago, which involved the transfer of a blastocyst and an early blastocyst. Could it be possilbe that I tested too early, or should I prepare for the worse? Any words of advice or similar experiences would be wonderful. Thanks!

Thanks so much to you as well! I feel a TONS better! I'm trying to stay very calm and taking deep breaths all through out the day. This cycle feels way different from last cycle (aside from the low back pain) so I hope that is good news! Loads and loads of baby dust to you also!!!

Patience Girl, you tested too early. Don't temp fate!!! Take your time and test when you were told!!! Good luck xx loads of baby dust your way xxx

If you did the transfer on the 10th, don't count the day of the transfer..start the next day...so you should be 5dpt today. Relax sweetie and think positive. I had a failed IVF transfer last time too and I was nervous wreck then, for some reason, this time I was very clam. Not getting too excited as of yet, waiting for my blood test. I can't believe we have our blood test on the same day, that is awesome!!! Yay!!!

Don't forget to take it easy, relax and think positive. When you test again let me know.

Am I calculating wrong??? If they did my transfer on the 10th, do I count the day of the transfer as a day? If so, does that mean that I a 5 dpt transfer or 6 dpt? If I am 6 dpt, it would still be too soon, right????  Geesh, I'm a wreck! :)

I did see it and I copied and pasted it into my journal so I can always look at it...(I hope that was okay). It made me feel so much better! This is my second IVF attempt. I had a 5 day blastocyst and and early blastocyst transferred. My first cycle I had two 5 day blastocysts transferred, but for some reason they didn't take. I was very stressed that cycle and have felt very relaxed this cycle up until that last couple of days. I have had cramping, breast tendernous, but also low back pain (which is usually a sign of my PMS). That was when I began to stress, but I had that the last time as well. I do my blood test on Thursday too!!!

BFP means Big Fat Positive...BFN is Big Fat Negative.

Yes, I had a negative 5dpt. Did you have any spotting? How many embies did you transfer? I had 2 transferred:)

I knew that will make you feel better, just try to relax and wait and test again 8dpt (8 days post transfer) With a day 5 transfer there is a greater chance of the embies sticking. On my page, if you look in my journal under...i think, day 5 transfer, you will see approximately where you should be 5dpt...it should be interesting. I have my blood test on Thursday, Nov 19.

I'm new to this whole thing so can you fill me in with what the BFP stands for exactly? I have my thoughts, but not 100% sure. So you had a negative as well? I kept going back and looking again just hoping for faint line... but nothing. When do you do the blood work?

Yes, you tested too early. I did a day 6 transfer on Nov 7th. I tested 5dpt also and got a BFN. This morning I tested and got a very faint BFP @ 8dpt. I posted the pic. Wait till about day 8 or 9 and test again, you may get an awesome surprise!
