OPK's and really confused!! Please help me.

So Thursday when I went to the Dr. I hadn't got a + yet on my OPK. Then the nurse does an ultrasound and says "it looks like you're ovulating now".  So why no positive??  Anyways, now for the last 3 days I've been getting a + on my opk.  Hubby has a pulled muscle in his back and I'm afraid the days we actually BD'd the other day were wasted. UGH!! Today was my darkest positive so is that the most accurate one. Today is the day??  Man I'm SO confused. :(  I'm just afraid it's to late now and after surgery and 6 plus yrs of trying I don't want to "waste" anything.

Glad you don't have to drive for blood test.  Keep me posted on your results!

Hi,
I sure hope I have a good chance. I'm praying that I do, it would be REALLy nice if I could fertilize both BUT I'm not going to be greedy. One will be fine :D.  I gotta go this coming week to have my blood drawn again. They're going to let me do that up here thank goodness. Save me a 2 hr drive down there just for 20 min to take blood. lol Thanks Again! :D

Hi,
With a progesterone of .5, you have not ovulated and probably a few more days until you do.  Progesterone will be over 2 once you have ovulated and continue to go up.  With two eggs, you still have a chance this cycle.   Since that was your test level on Thursday, keep doing what you are doing, checking CM and bding just to be covered.

BeeHappy, she did mention something about fluid and that might've been what she was talking about. The fluid being around my follicle. She said behind it?  So I took another opk test about 10 min ago and it was a bright positive again. What's the longest you can ovulate? I've been BDing just in case though. :)  Don't wanna miss my chance. Thank you!

BabyKat, lol !  I leave that place clueless. They confuse me so much down there. Then after I'm on my way home I think of a million questions I wanted to ask. So frustrating.  I was thinking though, if I was about to be or was ovulating thursday should I still be getting positive opk's ?  I dunno, just wished this whole process was easier. I told my cousin yesterday (who is due in about 2 weeks) that she has NO idea how lucky she was. To get pregnant so easy because women who have trouble doing it, it's the hardest thing in the world. AND one of the most stressful things to go through.

Anyways, thank you both for the replies. I really appreciate them. :D

I went for an ultrasound once, and the tech told me it looked like I'd be ovulating soon if I wanted to get pregnant. Didn't give me any other info other then that LOL.

Sometimes if they catch it on the right day they can see on u/s when you are starting to ovulate because they can see fluid around the follicles. But, you never know exactly when ov is going to happen and the whole process takes a few days. My RE has always told me to BD on the first day of the pos opk and the 2 days after that, but I have never had 3 pos days in a row so don't know what he would have recommended in that case. I now use the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, which for me has made it way easier to pin down my ovulation day than when I used opks (I was always confused about how to interpret the opks). Good luck! I hope you get your BFP this month!

Thanks Risa!  Yes they've done 3 ultrasounds. First one showed 10 follicle's in left ovary and 14 in right. The next ultrasound (a week later) showed 2 in left and none in right. The third ultrasound (2 days later) showed I still had 2 and they were 1.9 something mm and the other one was 1.5 something mm.  I've had blood work everytime I've went and my progesterone as of Thursday was 0.5. It's been that for the last 2 visits. My Estradiol is 159.3.  I hope this helps. lol. I know I'm sure confused. I THINK I'm closer to ovulating for sure now though. The bright positive tests and my cm is really watery and stretchy. It doesnt' break. BUT it's been that way for about 3 or 4 days now. Anyways, thank you so much again. I really appreciate it. :)

Remember, + opk means you are going to ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. It is not your ovulation day.  I don't know why the nurse would tell you it looks like you're ovulating, because all my ultrasounds they have never been able to tell me. They usually tell me follicle sizes, location, lining, and if no follicles, then I probably already ovulated.  Did she tell you about follicles?

If opk is still positive, I would think you still haven't ovulated, Bd today and tomorrow and you may catch this egg!!
