Ovulation and CM

Question after ovulation does your cm tend to dry up. I believe I O'd early and now the abundant amount of cm is gone. Is that normal can you still get your BFP...

On a funny note, I got a + OPK 2 weeks after my m/c. I had absolutely NO CM no matter how hard I wiped, hee, hee. Then DH goes and buys a huge new thing of toilet paper...... Suddenly everything became slippery..... HE BOUGHT THE TP WITH ALOE, HEE HEE...... I got a kick out of it :)

The estrogen that dominates the 1st 1/2 of your cycle(follicular phase) is what produces the fertile cm. It is very normal for it to dry up post-o, when progesterone becomes the dominant hormone. You may see a suspicious patch of cm here and there after o, but it is caused from the minute amts of estrogen produced by the corpus luteum. You don't need cm for a bfp, just for o to keep the swimmers alive and swimming :)
