Am I getting my hopes up?

I had my first IUI (Clomid only; no trigger or prometrium) on the 15th. I know that implantation happens on day 5 or 6. Yesterday I felt really 'odd'. I had, what I can only describe, as upper vaginal/cervical twinges. When I got home I was super, super, super tired where all I wanted to do was sleep. And then super crabby the last 2 days. I know that I'm probably just getting regular PMS-symptoms but with the semen count of 50 million, part of me wonders could this really be it? Would one get any pregnancy symptoms this early?

I'm sure this is all in my head. My husband goes "you never were pregnant so how would you know that it isn't true?"

I just don't want to get my hopes up. But this crabbiness is out of control. If I get AF, I'm not due until the 31st.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping but don't want to get hopes up so high that I'll cry if it's BFN. I have spotted before during mid cycle when I wasn't trying but I was on birth control pills so it was 'normal' for me. Otherwise sometimes if a yeast infection was happening it seemed to irritate inside so thus I would 'pink spot'.

I just find it weird with timing and had super cervical mucus (clear) yesterday and now it's all super sticky w/ pink. I was thinking maybe the semen was finally coming out or whatever from the IUI but I know that many have said that nothing comes out. Who knows?

I hate that our bodies tease us.

Hey, it's possible!

My first "sign" that I was pregnant was on 6 dpo, I felt the same "twinges" as you.  It's hard to describe, but it's a very distinct pulling sensation very, very low.

The next thing that happened was I become both very tired, and very cranky.  At this point, I was convinced I was pregnant.  Things just felt different.  I told a friend of mine that I just "knew."

This was all around 10 dpo.  I finally got impatient and tested at 10 dpo in the evening and I had a very, very faint line on FRER.  I tried to not get my hopes up because I thought it could be trigger, but I tested two days later, and the line was much darker!  Preggo!  I had some scary bleeding and HORRID cramping on 12 dpo, which I can't really say was implantation because obviously baby was already implanted or I wouldn't have been so positive on the test, and then I passed some tissue!  YIKES!

But, it turned out to be nothing, and now I'm 8 weeks along and baby is fine!

Good luck to you, I hope this is it!!

dpo is days past ovulation. So, if you O'ed on the 14th -15th, you should be 6-7dpo today. So, I guess that could be implantation bleeding. Do you ever spot mid-cycle?

Pulling for you!

Sorry I don't know what dpo is.

My day 1 of AF was March 2.

The 4th is when I did 50mg of Clomid twice a day (stopped Sat).

I then OPKed for a week and got a positive sign on the 14th.

The IUI was on the 15th. Sperm injected--50 million! (she said 10mill was all she was looking for but was very happy with 50).

Felt crampy on the 15th but BD on the 15th and the 16th just for good measure.

Felt crabby on the 18th and a little crampy.

Vaginal/cervical twinges on the 19th and super crabby and super, super tired.

Today on the 20th small cervical twinges today and then went to the bathroom and saw a large amount of sticky discharge with a very, very faint amount of bright pink blood.

AF is due about the week of the 31st (I've been anywhere from 29-32 days).

I don't BBT at all (never have). Cravings for milk but overall not hungry really (ever since Clomid I just don't get hungry.)

Part of me is all "with 50 million there's got to be a super good chance" but again, I think I'm just psyching myself for a big let down.

Aggghhh. One more week to go. :)

If your AF is not due until the 31st, the bleeding might be implantation. What dpo are you?

Here's an article from the web on implantation:

Best of luck!!!
