Pregnancy after myomectomy

Hello, I am scheduled to have a myomectomy in 5 days and I am excited.  I have been trying to get pregnant and after fertility testing which was fine, it was decided to take out the fibroids. I am not sure how long we should wait to attempt to get pregnant?? Any one with information or experience with myomectomy's and pregnancy?????

My surgery was in March. It was abdominal and very painful.. But it saved my uterus. My follow up has been great and my doctor is so very pleased with everything.  We got the go ahead to try and actually going through IVF and that has been great so far.  I will keep you posted on that as we should know "something" in two weeks... I will keep you posted and you keep me posted as well

Hi:  I just came across your post and you have probably had your surgery now.  Was it abdominal, lap, or hysteroscopic?  I had a hysteroscopic in January and another on May 22.  So far it is gone. I have a follow-up to confirm.  We have the go ahead to start trying....
