Thank you! We are very excited, we have having a boy and a girl! A taste of both worlds. I can't wait for them to get here.
Good to hear you can try naturally! They say it's always good to have a period after surgery because it cleanses everything out and gets you back on your normal cycle. Has the pain gone away? Did you Dr say anything about taking additional meds to help with increasing your chances of getting pregnant? Sending lots of baby dust your way, good luck!
First a congratulations to you on your twins!! Do you know the sex yet?? I can't wait, we started trying right away. The doctor wants us to take pregnancy tests every month to be sure I don't get pregnant in my other tube and then need to have that one removed too. My period also came on this month only 3 weeks after surgery and it was right on schedule. I was not expecting that to happen but now we will continue to try naturally and hope for the best. Thank you for your response, it has helped alot.
I had both tubes removed due to hydrosalpinx. The surgery was okay... I was out so I didn't feel a thing, but for a good week afterwards, I felt like crap all over my body. During the surgery they pump your stomach with gas so they can see in there and the gas rises up and gets stuck in your shoulders and chest, this will cause some soreness for a while, until the gas slowly disappears or is released. Pain on the left side is normal probably due to the gas and when they are in there they move things around so it may just be sore from surgery, if the pain is unbearable call your Dr.
Since I had both tubes removed my only option was full blown IVF. My first fresh cycle attempt did not take, but my frozen cycle did and now I am 5 months along with twins. If you still have a good left ovary and unblocked left tube, you should still be able to conceive naturally. It may take you longer because you only get half the chance. Normally the egg is release from one side one month and the other the other month. You will only have the chance to conceive on the month the left side releases. They have drugs that will help stimulate ovulation and help your left side release every month. It's called Clomid, check with your Dr about that because if the left side works, you won't need IVF. Good luck!
