Thank you so much Heather for your immediate response.
Yes, that is normal, too. It's probably more common to only get one positive OPK than to get several....but some do.
:-)
what if I don't get + opk today ? Is it normal ?
Well, I would guess you're about to ovulate today (possibly tomorrow), if you got a positive yesterday. They generally go by the FIRST positive OPK, even if it continues to stay positive for another day or two. Good luck with everything!
Hi Heather,
I spoke to the nurse again today morning. She told even my doctor want me to give the blood work today for progesterone level it seems & also I have to give another set of blood work for progesterone after 10 days. Also I took 100mg clomid this cycle. How long OPK will say positive & if it say more than 1 day, which day we should count for ovulation day ?
Am little bit confused now.
It's usually progesterone they check for at that stage on your cycle, but they might possibly check your LH, too, since you told them you just got a positive OPK. Not really sure. Maybe you could call again tomorrow morning when your doctor is back in the office and check. If it's just progesterone, then maybe ask to come back in about a week instead. Good luck!
Do you know what are the test they do apart from this progesterone at this stage as I mentioned you earlier.
If you are in fact just now about to ovulate, then yes, a progesterone blood test would not do much good, since it's too early to see the real spike that happens after ovulation...but if they still want you to come in, maybe they'll be doing other tests, as well?
