Previous C Section (adhesions) causing infertility

I have been TTC for 3 years with an ectopic pregnancy last year. I have been to numerous doctors but have not been able to establish why I'm struggling to fall pregnant. My mist recent doctor said that my previous c section of 13 years ago is causing a problem and possibly the reason for my infertility. He found fluid (I think in the cervical cavity) and said that I need to go for a surgery where he will undo my c section, remove the adhesions and stitch back up again. Unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed as new adhesions may form. Has anyone ever had to deal with something similar?  Or had this surgery? My Dr said it was called a Niche Defect
