Prolactin

I had a blood test and the results showed I have prolactin does anyone know what this is?

That's what helped me get pregnant. I had to see a fertility doctor and be put on Clomid for three cycles with an HCG trigger each time and I finally got pregnant.

Wow that is a long time!! I do get periods but they are irregular! I have got a fertility specialist in June so hoping they will do something x

Yes it does. In some cases it stops you from getting your period altogether. That was my problem, I had no menses and did not ovulate so it took me 7 years to get pregnant.

Wel the results just came back that I had high levels of it due to anxiety.. I have got to have another blood test next week.. Does this stop you from ovulating I have been trying for 18 long months :( X

I forgot to ask, what were your prolactin results (number) how high is it? At one point mine was over 100 the norm is 15

I have high prolactin due to a pituitary tumor. It causes issues with getting pregnant.. Took me 7 years to get pregnant with this current pregnancy... I was out on Bromocriptine but the side effects were too much for me to handle so I was then switched to Cabergoline.
