to do the procedure now or to wait...?

I am 26 years old and just found out that I have endometriosis. My doc said since I'm not ready to have children that I should just stay on my birth control. She also me mentioned doing the laproscopic procedure. I am debating whether I do that procedure now or wait until I am actually ready to have children.
