Side effects with IUI??

I'm about to start IUI, can anyone tell me if it is a painfull/uncomfy procedure, if u've had any side effects and also how sucessfull it is ??

I did IUI and now have a beautiful 2 month old baby girl. Worked the first time around, and had severe cramps... I am sure the anxiety played a role. Good luck!

Hi hun i had IUI done in may but it did not work for me.It was easy and i did not feel a thing infact i did not know it was over even when the nurse said thats it done now.Maybe a little cramping afterwards but nothing much to mention really.Good luck and best wishes xx

Totally agree with everything happynifer posted. Lots of factors but the procedure itself is painless, maybe some cramping but nothing that hurts. I think the anxiety is worse than the actual procedure  :-)  I was using clomid during each round and had no side effects, but my treatment didn't work. We had to go on to IVF. Good luck to you!

side effects depend entirely on what medications you are taking.
the procedure itself is painless and easy.
how successful depends on your age, your egg quality, sperm quality, etc.  Your RE should be able to give you statistics based on your situation.
