Starting IVF September 2010
i am just looking for some people to connect with who may be going through IVF around the same time as i will be. i wanna know if we can help each other through it... my RE says that connecting with others in similar situations gives you hope and helps us cope. my DH and I have decided to go with IVF during my previous marriage my tubes were tied and we want more children. this wast the option presented to us with the highest success rates. we are very excited but very nervous about the side effects of medications, i have read lots of places that once you begin meds which we will September 1st. the time flies by. anyone going through treatment around the same time or anyone who has been through treatment it would be awesome to chat.
so my retrieval is tomorrow!! this really flew by! i only took injections for one week and my follies are plumping up! i have between 15 and 19 and on saturday they were mostly in 19s, 18s, 17s, and 16s. i pray and pray that this is in God's plan!!

I am really new to the ivf world, but been trying to find sites to chat with others that are in the same boat for support... :) I was referred to this website so i figured i check it out...
I did my retrieval in July and been waiting on my transfer since i had hyper stim.. The dr wanted to wait another full cycle before doing transfer... It seemed like forever before i got to where I need to be.. I am on day 3 with Estrace and looking for a transfer hopefully beginning of OCt... :) This will be my first ivf icsi cycle... SO alittle nervous scared and excited all in one... I have 14 frosties waiting and I am having 2 transferred the first time... Crossing my fingers and staying positive :)
I was also a big baby with shots and then I had no choice when I started all of this, it wasnt as bad as I thought it got easier as each day went by and now thinking about it it really wasnt bad, the new med I have now is estrace it is making me feel a little dizzy at moments but i am counting down the days till the first u/s to check the lining... :)

Oh dear!! what is all about that cyst again?! was it something that you knew already before you start it BCP or was it something just recently appear? good thing that you have started your injection without for AF to come first..
what med are you having now? and how was the b/w and u/s yesterday?
u/s on the 14th they found i have Right ovary : 7 eggs about 8-11mm and the left one : 9 eggs about 9-12. I progress well they said but ER want them reach at least 17to18 mm for ER.. if according to plan I will be having the ER on Wednesday 22nd. I will have another my b/w and u/s again on Sunday. I will let you know how I progress :-)
Ari24, Wow 6 embies..!! how many are you planning to transfer? do they grade them? sticky..sticky vibe for you and I'll pray for your BFP!!

hope everyone is well! I start my meds on the 23 sept for FET we have only one frosty and am praying to God it works!! My last ivf failed so I wanted a break and my re reccommended a frozen cycle as it's less on the olde body!!! Hope it's all going well baby dust yo us all xxxxx

Im glad I found this great site. So I already had my ER yesterday..13 eggies, 7 were matured 6 fertilized...! Going on tomorrow for my transfer and then the horrible 2WW....I dont know who is more inpatient, my DH or myself..
This is my second IVF cycle...first one was a neg. So hopefully this is it!

Well, I never did get my period. But I was instructed to go to office for bloodwork and u/s and they said that my levels were low enough to start injections! I also had to have a syst drained because it was big enough to produce estrogen and throw off my levels. Man, nothing is easy, ya know?! The syst removal was pretty much the same as retrieval they said, so I know what to expect with that. Started injections on Saturday the 11th and go in for b/w & u/s tomorrow.

Its been 5 days since the last your BC. last time i only had to wait 2 days after my tablets! I hope it will show up very very soon for you..
today is my 4th day stimulation injection. Im having puregon 150ui once/day. I was spotting since the first day on stimm until the 3rd day. freaked out , really! Yesterday rang the clinic and they said it happens sometimes in the beginning when our body trying to adjust with the meds should not continue spotting after 3 days.
happy that 2day i dont find any spot! I guess my body start to adjust and I hope it stays like this.
Will have next scan morn on 14th and praying that those follies are growing.

Hi there, I am starting my nasal spray tomorrow, (this is our 3rd and final attempt), I have a scan on September 23rd, and hopefully will be able to start my Menopur that day, and hopefully will have the embies back around the 6 or 7th of October, Best of luck to you, we are all in this together!! BBD!!!

KDell, funny how alike is our story! mine was 9 weeks and I had sooo much pain... I think i was dying when my husband driving to the hospital.. the next thing I realized when I woke up with horizontal seacerian scar!
I had a big op there was no laparoscopy in this place where we used to live.
We were actually already suggested to go for ivf when they found my left tube was blocked, but by the time we had a few other things set a priority so baby was not in our top list therefore we chose to have laparoscopy (beside its also covered by insurance) to open the tube with hoping favor in our hand!
You just stopped your BC yesterday.. hope you get you AF soon..!
Btw.. the tablet that i took for 10 days was an addition to the injection that I had 2 following days after i started the tablet. Its the same things like rmartinez2009's lupron injection I guess! I think this is what they called down regulation.

the side effects are kinda hard but you do what you have to to achieve your dreams. Yes i give the shots to myself every morning. which is an achievement in itself since i used to be crybaby afraid of needles and this journey has changed that. well i have my appointment on September 3rd to make sure my ovaries are suppressed and then the following day i begin Gonal F and microdose ovidrel and lupron all every day with the lupron in the am as usual and the Gonal and microdose in the afternoon. so the ball is rolling and will begin rolling very fast next week every 3 days i will be at the doctor after the 3rd. so luck to all of you and it looks like i am ahead in the cycle so i will answer any questions since its my first time to we will be treaking through this together.

WOW, i thought i was reading my own story when i read your blog! i had the ectopic rupture in may and surgery to remove the tube. Strange thing was that i felt NO pain and my HCG was around 100,000!! (I tested it 3 days before surgery and it was at 63,000 and still doubling daily). i was close to ten weeks when i had the baby removed...it was a very rare case i am told.
Anyway, during the laproscopy, they also saw that left tube was blocked. they sent me right to IVF and did not have me try like they did you because they said i had a bigger chance of having another ectopic. but every case and doc is different.
I don't know about that pill they are having you take...never heard of it. I would imagine it is comparable to BC.
My doc is not putting me on lupron. i just go straight to FSH...not really sure why though. I am supposed to stop BC on sept. 4th and call with my period...

Hi all! I too will be strting my cycle late Sept or begining of October. I have a similar story. I had a tubal ligation with cauterization in 2004 when I was only 28yrs old. I thought at that time that I didmn't want anymore children. WHAT A MSTAKE!!!!!!! Both me and the Hubby want another child soooo bad. We started our first IVF cycle in 12/09 and unfortunately M/C Jan 1st. I was really devastated and decided to wait before I started another cycle. I wanted to lose some weight, and then try again. Well, WE ARE READY!!! I gave myself until the end of Sept just to see how much more weight I can lose. I'm really excited on getting started. I responded really well the first time. It was just one of those things. I hope to hear from all of you throughout and pray we will all have some great news really soon

May I join you here? This is going to be my first ivf attempt. I had my right tube removed resulted from ectopic pregnancy and the left one was found blocked and I had an laparoscopy surgery to open, but it's been 2,5 years since then, still nothing is happening so we were strongly suggested to to go for IVF.
Oh gosh i'm so nervous we are paying everything out of our own pocket. Im praying this is going to work...
I have done all the blood test and everything was alright.
2 weeks ago on my 5th day cycle I had ultra sound to see how many follicle that I have.
Left: 6-7 and Right 8-10 which was Ok.
Today is my mid cycle which is 19 to be exact and I just back from seeing my Re I had another ultra sound and Re gave me some hormonal tablets which called DUPHASTON and Im also going to have an injection in two days also for this kind of hormonal things.
I wanted to ask so many things about why do i have to take this hormonal tablets, if everything with the blood test look alright, but Re seemed like such in hurry and inpatient.
arghh...she(RE) was so nice and friendly in the first consultation but today I didnt really like her..
She said Im gonna have this tablet for 10 days which is until 29th this month and then I need to wait for my AF and back to see her on my 3rd to 5th day cycle to start my stimulation injection.
Ladies please guide me.. is this hormonal tablet the same thing like BPC that you all take before the ivf treatment?? but why the Re didnt tell me that this is BPC but she just said hormonal tablets..

i did get my meds and they take up an entire shelf of my refrigerator. so i know what you mean hey the thread moved to the cycle buddies september 2010> there are i think 6 of us on there and we would love to have you. i start my lupron injections on this friday morning then i begin my fsh and lh on the 4th with lupron still projected er is the 17 of september with a 5 day transfer planned for the 21st or 22nd.... so how far have you gotten do you have your calendar? oh yeah i am on the bcp until the 26th of august, SSBD hope you will join us.>Randi
