Starting ivf again in April

My dh and I had a beautiful daughter in July after many years of trying.  Well, I'm starting ivf in april and very nervous to start all of this again.  Is anyone else starting ivf in April???

I am going to be doing a FET at either towards the end of April or beginning of May.  We will be using donor embryos!!  I am so excited!  I would love support!
Are you on BC now?  What stage are you in?

No BC.  I just have to wait for Day 2 of my cycle in April to do a fresh cycle.  Is this your first time using donor embryos??  Actually, if we didn't get pregnant with my dd we were considering going with donor embryos.  Good Luck!!!

yeah, we did a round of donor eggs the first time, but had a bum RE.... Had a wonderful offer for donor embryos we just couldn't pass up.  I am doing a mock cycle this month, had surgery in Jan to remove scar tissue from a dnc.  I have an HSG on March 21, and then an u/s just to make sure my lining is thicken up.  I also have to start estrace tomorrow (day 3 of cycle) to help with build lining.  Then, another period... then set up for transfer a few weeks later : )

Did you get preggers  naturally with your dd? Or was it IVFor IUI?

I had to do ivf. I actually went through 7 ivf"s before i got pregnant with her.  I had also lost two pregnancys.  Even through I went through all of this before I can honestly say I am very nervous and scared to go through it again.

Wow!  I am happy you finally got her! : )   It understandable that you are scared.  I think we all are.  Thank goodness we have the ladies on this site for support!  It helps!

That is true.  It was a long road and everyone told me to give up before the cycle I got pregnant with her. Deep down I had a strong feeling that I was going to get pregnant and now everyone is saying thank god you didn't listen to us.

I have my mock test on the 22nd of this month.

I also may be doing an FET in April. It all depends on how this months testing goes. I have had 2 fresh IVF's. 1 resulted in m/c and the other one was negative. I also had a FET and it was negative. Dr's don't know why I'm not getting pregnant. I have a good response to the stims and always get 6 or 7 blasts that look great. I am doing a water sono tomorrow and some additional blood tests this month.  I admire you for going through 7 IVF's. Were some of them FET's or all fresh cycles?

I also went 5IVFs and result to 1MC, 1ectopic and my son turn 8 month old this month.  I want to try IUI again since it cover 100% but none on IVF.  Today, I just see my RE and he rejected me on IUI procedure due to extremely low sperm count.  I don't know my DH would let me do IVF again :-(

I'm doing my first round of IVF starting with my next cycle at the end of March. I'm very excited and can't wait to get started! I'm so glad a few of you are going through it soon also. It's great to have the support!!

IVF is my only option since DH sperm count expremely low to qualify to have IUI.
My DH does not want another baby if we have to go to another IVF.  I need to talk to him, i hate that since I'm the only one go thru the process alone even the finance.  All i need just his sperm, I don't mind to have donor sperm...........but I could not do so.

I will be starting my first IVF cycle in mid April. Last year, we attempted 3 IUI's and all failed. After a 6 month break to clear my mind and body, I am ready to begin this journey. Good luck to everyone here.

That's tough.  I really hope your DH agrees on doing an ivf cycle.  Would he be ok if you did donor sperm???  Good Luck with your talk.  Keep me updated.

Hi Ladies!  I have 3 more BCP's to take and then I just wait for AF to show.  Once she shows, I call the RE for my baseline u/s and instructions on injections. It looks like I will start my injections somewhere around March 26th, making my ET date somewhere in mid April.  I am so nervous as this is the first IVF ever for me.  Last month was IUI #1, and I was so overstimulated that I ended up with OHSS.  My RE basically said to plan on it happening again :o(

Yup hanging in there!!! My AF is due on the 29th so going to get started soon!! 10 days or so!!! How exciting!! Anyone that's done IVF before - what CD day did you retrieval land on??? What kinda transfer day did you have? 3 or 5? How many days off work were you asked to take after transfer??

I did many ivf's.  I had my retrievals done between cd 11-13.  It all depends on your levels at that time.  All my transfers were 3 days only because my clinic does not do a 5 day transfer.  As for time off it all depended on if it fell during the weekend, but I was on bedrest for 3 days.  Some people only stay on bedrest for 2. Good luck on your cycle!!!

AFM- I have a sonohystergram and a mock test scheduled for tuesday.  I am really hoping they don't find a reason why I can't start in April.

Rghkah good luck on Tuesday! Everything will look great I'm sure!! Thanks that helps! My clinic does 3 day and 5 day transfers. They plan for 3 days but push it to 5 if embryos need a bit more time.  They tol me to be off work 3-4 days. I wonder if that includes transfer day itself??

Well ladies, I go tomorrow for my HSG, I will get a CD of it, and overnite it to my doc in CA.  (he did my surgery for removal of adhesions in January.  I had them in 20% of my uterus., mostly along the left wall ) Anyway, as long as he gives us the OK to ttc, we will move forward.  Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me!!!!  I am very hopeful, and excited.  If everything looks ok,  I will have a scan on Friday for my lining measurments.


Hopefulcb-,I would think that the 3-4 days would include transfer day.

rghkah38-Good Luck on Tues w/ your SIS!  I hope all shows clear : 0 )  Make sure you take a couple Aleve beforehand, it can be a little painful sometims....
