4 years and worried

well its been 4 years of tring and still no baby.we have done countless iui we have done ivf which we had all 7 eggs reach the 5 day blast.we were told they were the best eggs that ever reached 5 days blast ( i think they say that to everyone).yet it never worked.we have tried on our own .they say my wife is fine nothing wrong with her at all.i am fine nothing wrong with me yet feels like we are cursed 4 years and no baby .we are getting to the point of giving up its been so hard to deal with.also my wife has had 4 miscarriages also so just at that point like its never going to work

Don't give up! I am on year 7 of trying and I can't give up so you can't give up either! We are all frustrated with infertility. I am praying for you and I hope your long wished for dream comes true! Baby dust to you and your wife!

That sounds like a good plan. Take a break and start fresh in the new year! You know what? I've actually heard that a frozen cycle sometimes can be a good thing, since there are a lot less meds involved. Hopefully that will be the case for you, and you'll get your BFP ("big fat positive" pregnancy test) sometime in early 2009!

never done the acupuncture but will mention it to her...dr really don't now what to say .she was confused and really didn't give us any answer other then we can try the frozen ones and see what happens...we just taking a break from all of it.i feel bad for my wife and you women taking all those drugs when doing iui or ivf .so we just relexing tring to get our minds off it then maybe in the new year try the frozen eggs and see what happens

Thank you, Steve! I hope things will work out for the two of you soon, too! Has your wife tried acupuncture? I've heard several women say they've had better IVF results when doing acupuncture...but I don't have any personal experience with it. There are also several different IVF protocols, but since you didn't have any problems with fertilization or the eggs developing into blasts, I'm not really sure if a different protocol would make a difference. What did your doctor say?

Try not to give up I know it's easier said than done, We were TTC for 5 yrs no baby! I went through 6 failed IUI, and we were a month before IVF procedures, No fertility meds, just natural charting for the RE, and then BAM...BFP, It was crazy!  I really thought it was just a dream and that we would never get our little one, I am now 8 weeks and feeling pretty positive! So don't give up, your not alone although I'm sure it feels that way! Keep your faith up! Good Luck!

thank you i know there are many in the same spot as us.just hard to deal with.harder when friends and family are having kids with no issues ..just tring to have hope one day it will work out and i hope it also works for you one day .

I hear you! We've been trying for the past 3 1/2 years now, and I've had two miscarriages, and still no baby. I have not gone the IVF route yet, but have done a few IUIs and I'm also on fertility meds now. Ironically, though, the two times I did get pregnant, it was in a natural cycle, with no IUIs or meds. Just like you, we also have "unexplained infertility". Nothing wrong with either me or my husband. It's very frustrating!
