Try TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)

Ladies,

How is everyone?  My DH and I decided to try having a baby naturally without clomid.

We went to the Chinese Herb & Medicine store and bought Herbs and medicine for infertility treatment.  The Chinese Dr. took my pulse and prepared my medicine.  I bought the whole month.  It's cost about $145.  Worth a try.  I will start taking the herbs and medicine on my CD5.  Will update with you later.

Major natural fertility herbs that are useful for women are:

Black Cohosh
Chaste Tree Berry (Vitex Agnus Castus)
**** Quai (Angelica sinensis root)
False Unicorn Root
Wild Yam
red clover (Trifolium pretense).
partridge berry (Mitchella repens)
liferoot (Senecio aureus)
Senecia Jacobea
Senecio Vulgaris

Here is an article i found very interesting.

Can Herbs Increase Fertility?

Excellent evidence exists to indicate that herbs for fertility work in regulating the body’s supply of hormones and serve to relieve the stress that often underlies fertility problems. Many of the herbs that increase fertility have been found to possess natural forms of estrogen and other pharmaceuticals routinely used to treat pregnancy issues in synthetic forms. The names of some of these herbs, like black cohosh, are fairly familiar, but others, like red clover and chasteberry are less well known.

How do Fertility Herbs Work?
In general the goals of fertility herbs and vitamins are to regulate hormone levels in the body, to maintain optimum health in the uterus, to reduce stress for the entire system, and to regulate sexual desire. Issues of conception are very much a game of balance and some women feel that the best way to win that game is to follow as natural a regimen as possible. Consequently fertility herbs have grown in popularity and more and more couples are curious about their use.

Upon testing, it has been discovered that many of the herbs used to enhance fertility actually do have drug-like components. Red clover for instance, has isoflavones which are similar to estrogen and black cohosh contains both phyto-estrogens and salicylic acid (aspirin). Since resolving problems with fertility is always a unique proposition from one woman to another, it is extremely important to never mix herbs and prescription fertility medications. Always speak with your doctor before beginning an herbal therapy.

What Herbs Work for Fertility

There are considerable inconveniences and side effects to many of the conventional medical methods to increase fertility. Herbs are an attractive alternative for many women and the natural aspect of the treatment can go a long way toward simply relieving stress in these women. Without question stress is a major factor in a woman’s ability to conceive (or lack thereof). For some women just feeling that they are doing the best and most natural thing for their bodies helps enormously.

The major herbs listed for fertility treatment are listed below.

RED CLOVER
Red clover has long been regarded as one of the best of the natural herbs for fertility. High in calcium, magnesium, chromium, phosphorus, thiamine, potassium, niacin, thiamine, and vitamin C, red clover also contains estrogen-like isoflavones. Providing mild sedation, red clover relaxes the nerves, minimizes muscle cramps, and nourishes the glands that produce hormones. A cup or more of red clover infusion (tea) a day is recommended.

CHASTEBERRY OR VITEX ANGUS
Another of the available herbs to enhance fertility is chasteberry which was used by the Greeks as much as 2000 years ago. Chasteberry stimulates the pituitary gland to create a larger LH (luteinizing hormone) surge much in the same way the drug clomiphene citrate works. This helps to bring on ovulation and balances the pituitary gland’s production of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Chasteberry is an effective treatment for premenstrual syndrome, infertility, and even menopause all of which are marked by hormonal imbalances. It is normally taken in capsule form.

Herbs That Increase Fertility

**** QUAI
Another of the natural fertility herbs is **** quai, which balances estrogen levels in the body to bring on ovulation. It is also believed to enhance the lining of the uterus to make it more receptive to the implantation of a fertile egg. Long used as a tonic for the blood, **** quai contains iron, vitamin B12, and vitamin E. (Although **** quai will regulate the menstrual cycle it is also a blood thinner and should not be taken during menstruation and should be discontinued upon the confirmation of pregnancy.) Donq quai is available as a supplement capsule.

BLACK COHOSH
Black cohosh was one of many herbs for fertility routinely used by the Native Americans. It is an anti-inflammatory and contains phyto-estrogens, salicylic acid (aspirin), and estrogen-like isoflavone,  and formonetin. Black cohosh is widely used as a natural hormone replacement for menopausal women. In addition, black cohosh is a mild pain killer and lessens the effects of head aches, menstrual cramps, and body aches.

LICORICE
Although licorice is both an anti-viral and an anti-inflammatory which regulates estrogen levels and balances glucose in the body, it has also been found to raise blood pressure. Licorice contains glycyrrhizic acid which causes the body to keep sodium and leach potassium thus causing hypertension. If taken in combination with a diuretic, licorice can cause serious blood pressure problems. Since there are safer and more effective fertility herbs available, licorice should be used only with great caution and with the full knowledge of your physician.

Hope this all help.

I've tried some of these through proprietary brands like FertilAid and Femtrol...they did help my cycle regulate ... I had a chemical in Dec and was taking Femtrol...  I would talk with your doctor as I think Quai can bring on AF sometimes depending on the dosage.
