Extra follicles after eggs retreiver ivf

Dear all,

on the day of my embryo transfer, i was still having 4 large follicles on my right ovary and on day 2 of transfer i am experiencing pains like ovulation. Has any one experience such? or could it be the extra follicles? await a reply TX

i am relieve knowing that some one had it b4. the pain has reduced thank God. Thanks alot and Best Wishes.

before the embryo transfer the embryologist check your ovaries with ultrasound. we were both surprised. i was so inquisitive. all she could say was stay away from sex for the next  7 weeks.

Yeah, it is unusual... There is a lady on this forum (sorry, don't remember her name), who found out that she was pregnant with fraternal twins after her IVF, even though they only transferred one embryo! The doctor's conclusion was that they probably didn't retrieve all of her eggs and she ovulated on her own afterward and got pregnant twice, so to speak! Crazy story, but I guess it does happen :) Best wishes!

Also, the pain you are experiencing may be associated with the retrieval; I felt the pain for a few days afterward.

That is interesting!!!!!!  How do you know they are still there?  Did they do a sono?
