Timing of Progesterone testing

I need to get my Day 21 progesterone tested tomorrow but I do not know what time of the day is best to have it tested to get an accurate reading. Can you help? The lab opens at 7am.

I got this from WebMD which says that timings do matter:
I think we should check for sure with our REs

What Affects the Test
Reasons you may not be able to have the test or why the results may not be helpful include:

The use of hormones, including those containing estrogen or progesterone (such as birth control pills).
The use of medicines, such as ampicillin and clomiphene.
The time of day when you have the test. Progesterone levels normally fluctuate during the day.
Exercise.
Having a test such as a thyroid scan or bone scan that used a radioactive substance (tracer) within 1 week before the progesterone test.
Where you are in your menstrual cycle.

Wow! I have never been in a forum before and was so shocked to see replies to my question-thanks so much! I am really new to all of this and I am having a hard time with all of the abbreviations! I thought I had fertile cervical fluid over the weekend and thought I experienced mittleschmertz pains yesterday. I had my yearly checkup today and she said my cervix was high and closed and there was no fluid so she thinks I might not have ovulated. I just started taking my temp and it has been 97.7 for the past few days. Therefore, I have no idea if/when I ovulated, I just know that I started my period on 1/18. My cycles have been averaging 31/32 days since I went of BCP 8 years ago. My doctor counted 21 days to be Feb15, my online chart says Feb7 but if I count the days on the calendar it is Feb8. I am now confused! and dont know which day to go!!!! Thanks again and good luck to all you too:)

I don't think it matters what time of the day you have the test done...as long as it is about 7 days after ovulation. Good luck!
