Hello everyone,

indeed this site is of great help. I am new here.  I hope i will get some advise.  Have been trying to conceive for nearly two years.  I had two large cyst on both ovaries which was removed with laparoscopy in May 2006.  diagonisis say that i have endometroisis.  After the surgery i've tried 4 cycles of IUI with clomid/gonal-f, 3 follicles for the first 3 cycles. 4th cycle (sept 06)was converted to ivf as i had 6 follicles. but no success.  the next cycle(oct 06) i tried naturally, ovulated on cd15, progesterone of cd21 was 25nmol/l. but no luck.
2days back i did a blood test for thyroid and found out that the TSH levels was 8. FT3 & FT4 are within the normal range. have started with Eltroxin tablets of 50mg per day.  Could this be the reason for not getting pregnant?  Could anyone advise me what to do next.  and what would be my chance of trying naturally or do i need to go for ivf right away?

I am a 35 year old married woman. My husband is 50, he had vasectomy 16 years ago.He has 3 kids from his previous marriage and extremely firm in not having any more kids. He will divorce me if I proceed with an antificial insemination.

But I feel I can not live without kids in the future, so I will go ahead with artificial insemination at any price including divorce with my husband.

I have never tried to get pregnant, so I don't know if I am fertile or not. I consulted a reproductive doctor nearby at USD250 for 10-20minutes. She just gave some advice. The advice is that I take HSG test first and then if the result is positive, I should do IVF.

I don't have any insurance and the HSG costs 500-700dollars and IVF costs 15,000dollars just for one cycle and the success rate for one cycle is just 30%.

That made me VERY disapointed. I am a normal woman WITH regular period and I think I just need some sperm to get conceived. I don't need HSG test and I probably just need some simple artificial insemination like IUI? But that was just what I am thinking. No doctor will talk to me unless I pay USD250 appointment fee.

I am a little desperate. Can anyone give me some advise in how to get conceived in a very simple way? I very much appreciate.

Can I do the artificial insemination as a single woman if I divorce my husband? Answers very much appreciated.

By the way, I live in Woodstock, GA.
