Why do I torture myself???
Today is day 6 after a 3 day transfer. We transferred 2 embroys & I did a pregancy test which came up negative. WHY DID I DO IT??? They specifically say not to do too. I am hoping it's just too early to tell. What do you guys think?

Congrats!!!! If I recall, my clinic said that my due date was going to be Aug.24th. and my transfer was on Dec 4th.

Kricet212, how many did you implant? What day beta was your 154? My 14 day (9 dp5dt) was 86, and my 17 day was 308!!! Believe me, having kids at 17 wasn't fun, gave up my life :( wouldn't trade it now though, at least I have *some energy left :)

UGH Hmm, my symptoms were the typical progesterone cramping and now starting smell everything! I mostly worried the first 9 days til I got my BFP. Now, I'm just trying to eat right and say nothing to anyone until it's obvious. That's killing me, lol!!! I just want to shout it from the rooftops! As for my boys, yes, we only wanted boys, and the PGD was the way for us, we did find out 3 would have been special needs, glad we did it regardless. We wanted to microsort, but the percentage for boys wasn't anything too great.
BTW, since we're all on the same page, how's about starting a new thread to continue??

My Beta went up also from 84 to 154. It's certainly not a jump like you had or like mommyof3 but I will surely be happy with one baby.

lol, I totally understand your "Wishing for morning sickness" I'm a first time Surrogate and prayed for ALL the possible signs. I never had morning sickness w/my kids and I prayed that I never would get it.
This time round tho. The Intended parents are absolutely fantastic ppl like you all. And after the transfer, all I did was pray for morning sickness and all the rest of the symptoms. My prayers were answered. I did my beta 11dp3dt and the numbers were,223 . My 2nd beta was 13dp3dt. and the results were 531.
Stay positive and have a heart to heart with the lil embies (lol. I did) I told them to growwwwww and to stick around. :D And they did.

My first ever IVF came out positive & my # is 84.
I am looking foward to tomorrow to find out my new #.

You know exactly what I am talking about.....Lol. If I get a positive then we are just going to say, oops it's happened again. I want a boy really bad, but I decided not to do PGD and let nature takes it course with the sex. I am only 29. Like you I have been secretly hoping for twin boys. At this point though, I think I will be lucky for one embie to stick. All the waiting for an answer is the hardest part. Your desire for boys helped you in more ways than one. Wow, what a blessing in disguise. Would you have done the PGD anyways? When will you find out if your embies are stuck? I should be finding out on Christmas. The HPT at that point should be accurate and my beta is scheduled on the 28th. I have a twin brother, and I have a natural set of fraternal twin girls....I have a huge risk of twins any way. My girls are 10,7,5,5. I wish I had more symptoms, but i really don't have any except breast tenderness, but that could be from the Progesterone shot. I am worried that everything will be negative since I really don't have any symptoms. I am sooo glad I found this forum!!!! Keep me posted.

I have a scarred tube so IVF was our only option, that and we wanted to do PGD for boys. Good thing for us as it was determined 3 (out of our 7) would have been special needs. Our oldest is 20, youngest 4. I'm only 38 so it's not out of the realm of reality for us. I hope both of our implanted boys take, I have had my heart set on twins since we started.

How did the beta go today? If the tubes are not patent then the rest of it is useless, IVF would be the only good option. It appears that you may just have a tubal factor, which is really good. I had my tubes tied and untied. My only issue is tubal factor. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. If my breasts (sorry if TMI) are any indication then I may be getting a positive result. Congrats......there is nothing like the experience of your first baby. Treasure every moment of it. It goes by so fast. Remember to make plenty of time for hubby. Having four girls me and my husband need "our" time quite frequently. Thank goodness for grandparents! I know this experience has taught me how precious and miraculous pregnancy really is. I always took it for granted. Now I can't wait to hold another baby in my arms, I will cherish every moment of it. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya!!! I just know it will go smoothly for you! Keep me posted.
I took off the week also but I am a mail carrier. I am a walking carrier...so it's about 5 mmiles a day. The Dr said ok to return to work since my body is so used to it..but it really worries me.

No, I just had the one trigger shot and that was 9 days ago. I took this whole week off of work to keep myself stress free. I am an RN and my job is stressful. I am starting to think I shouldn't have taken the week off. This is all I think about sitting around and attempting to clean the house. When did you get your first positive? I took a test yesterday to see if the HCG was still in my system. It was negative. I just wanted to make sure that if I get a + that it is the real thing!!!! I have had months of disappointment for the last two years. I hope you get great news today!!!! It is so nice to have someone to share this journey with. We have not told our family because they will think we are nuts since we have 4 already. Most people's comments are "you are done aren't you, you know what causes it" So I am sure we will get comments about a new pregnancy.

Oh man that totally stinks that you fall right into those days. Just try to stay busy & I am sure since the holidays are upon us you will be busy. After your IVF did you have another HCG shot? If not and you want to do HPT I would wait until around day 7 or 8.. I started on day 6 & was a waste because kept coming up negative. Since then they have been positive. I will finally find out today. RE is due to call between 1-3

I am 3dp5dt and I am officially going crazy now!!!!!! I'm thinking about taking an hpt everyday until I get a + result. I refuse to believe it is not going to take. I am so excited for everyone getting the positives! Who knows, maybe I will be next. My beta is suppose to be drawn on 12/25, which means that I have to wait until 12/28 because they are closed christmas eve and on christmas! So this is definately maddening!!!! Any suggestions on remaining sane?
You're not alone, been talking to mine for the past 2 weeks. We know at least 1 took, but I'm praying both did :)

ha a 3DT on 11 Dec so I guess that puts me at about 4dys. being cramping since a few days after transfer, and feeling sick, I have three child from a pervious marrige but want some with hubby. right now i feel like i have heartburn anyone feels that way. today thought my cycle was starting because it felt like it, me and my daughter are like on the same cycle and she started her period and I'm usally right behind her by like a day or so. so I'm praying that my babies took and are growing healthy and strong. Question do any of your ladies talk your stomach like your baby are there. I do maybe I'm crazy don't know. this is our first cycle of IVF and dont know if hubby will want to try again, he happy with the children we have, so I'm I just feel that every man should have the chance to have his own.

I got positive again today. I could not sleep at all last night. I was having pain in between my boobs like shooting thru to the back...in that area. (boobs didn't hurt) I am not sure if what is where you get heartburn???? I was drink 7up at 3am. UGH!!
OK, so when they tell you to wait 9 days after a 5dt, you HAVE to wait!!!! As of 6 AM this morning, I finally have 2 lines!!!!!!! :)

So excited.........It's day 8 since transfer & got my First Postive today on HPT.
I will do again tomorrow but right now am alittle more optemistic but understand it can still go either way. YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, ladies, I just re-read your posts (yes, I'm obsessing!!!) and I realized you both did 3DT's. I did a 5, so I am hoping that is why my tests are still negative. Whew, I'm reading 3DTs result in quicker returns.
