Say to your partner 'Kiss me, hold me, cuddle me, but don't get me pregnant' and sure enough, he'll get you pregnant.  :P
It's like me, I wear a coat and the sun comes out, then I take it off, and it rains.  :)

All the best to you both [and your five years old.]

We had been trying for 2 years before we saw a fertility dr. Who was WONDERFUL. I have endometriosis so we did a lap. with laser and dye test in oct. 07 (I did with my dd also in 99 and she was born 00) He said he found hardly nothing. Nothing that would cause a problem and found no reason why we should not get pregnant. Soooo long story short, dh was fine, I was fine so we went ahead and did a round of clomid in jan. with an iui and it stuck. I amm now 13 weeks preggers. Dr. says sometimes we get so stressed about trying to get pregnant even when we think we arent and it's not a healthy body for you or a baby to stick to. We knew our chances were small...we expected that we would have to do it again. We lived our lives very normal during the tww. It was hard! I even went 4 wheeling during that time...to help me take my mind off of everything. See a specialist, relax, take one day at a time!!!!

I'm in the same boat as well i been with my DH for 3yrs and we been trying since we met although we been married for a year and half. Im like you i never thought in a million years i would be at this point in my life or at least the age im at and never have kids. My cousins had their first baby at 20 and then the 2nd at 25 or so and i thought i would be just the same but im going on 27 and still no baby!! I have not been to a doctor though yet i dont have insurance and at this moment my money is going to my house so we can be on our own and not live w/his parents 4ever but as soon as i get stabilized in my home i have every intention of going to the doc and getting tested cus i am soooooo frustrated w/this whole thing; i know how you feel i hate those BFN's too. I said if i cant have kids i have to at least try i have to see what the doctor tells me i know i cant give up hope unless they say there is no way possible. Anyway GL hope your appts. go well and you get ur BFP!!!

I am so sorry to hear about everything you have been going through.  I completely understand how frustrating and heartbreaking this process can be.  We have also been TTC for about 2 years now and we are nearing our 4 year wedding anniversary and I never in a million years thought we'd get to this point and still not have a little angel in our lives.  About a year ago, I had extensive bloodwork done, then we did the hsg and my husband had a SA - all came back good.  We tried for a few months on our own after the hsg hoping it would work, but it didn't.  I am really hoping that it does the trick for you though!  :)  I felt the same way as you in that I didn't want to take any medications (I hate taking anything, even tylenol!), but last fall my doctor started me on Clomid since an ovulation problem was really the only thing they could think of that might be wrong.  I used that for 4 months and then moved onto Femara, a similar drug.  I had ultrasounds and bloodwork that confirmed I was ovulating, but we still haven't had success.  I am actually nearing the end of the 2ww (2 week wait) in my 4th cycle of Femara.  If we don't get our miracle this time, then I need to give my body a break from the meds for the summer.

Anyway, I guess my point here is to let you know that you are definitely not alone and there are many women going through the exact same thing.  Before I joined the forum, I felt like nobody else understood what we were going through, but there are so many wonderful supportive women here that are willing to answer any questions you may have.  Keep in touch and we'll be praying that your difficult journey comes to an end soon.

i totally agree with you there, every month when i am a day late i am thinking wow did i finally do it am i pregnant and then later in the evening i get my hopes dashed. i do have a 5 year old boy already but i want another one so bad.....and i keep waiting and hoping. i buy books on things i should do if i want to concieve and things i shouldn't do, i have had the day surgery and in another month the doc will most likely decide on meds, i want to avoid meds but should i have to come to that then so be it, but he wants to wait and see if the dye test helped. i have a friend at work who is 7 months pregnant and i feel her baby kicking and i bought gifts for her and i am so happy for her, i am a little sad to because i want one so bad to, i can't wait to see her little baby boy though i just wish i could be the one shopping for baby stuff, picking out bedding and baby clothes, and getting ready for sleepless nights and 3am diaper changes

Wow it sounds like you've been through the ringer! It has got to be incredibly difficult to not know exactly where in your cycle you are, that would drive me crazy! This is the most emotionally exhausting process, isn't it? I feel so drained all of the time, wanting this month to finally be the one, etc.  You know, I never thought that I would be one of those people trying for months and months. When we first started I used to say, "well we'll definatly be pregnant by December," or "we have to start buying diapers now because at the most we only have a year until the baby comes."  I dont say those things anymore, but I certainly hope for them. I understand where you are, and my heart goes out to you because this is honeslty the hardest thing I thought I would never have to go through.

i am not sure where i am in my cycle this month i just had the lap surgery and dye test and bled for 10 to 15 days after that so if everything is the same as before i had it i should have my monthly friend on the 19th of april. i have to wait to see where i am because i got messed up after the surgery, i have had a seman analysis done already and that was fine, but i am not sure because i had my surgery on the 16th of march and then i bled for 5 to 6 days and i got my period as soon as i stopped bleeding from the laproscopy so it was almost april before i resumed sexual activity, now i have been having sex every other day and making sure i take vitamins, and not taking advil....but the laprocopy made this month hit or miss, i have cramping now i have had cramps for the past 3 days so it looks like this month is a miss

I understand where you are coming from, we are in the same boat.  We had been trying for a few months and got pregnant in December 06, and lost that baby at 8 weeks.  It has been 16 months since we have been pregnant at all. I have had all the same things, surgery, dye test (HSG), SHG, blood work, etc. I have tried Clomid for several months, and nothing at all has happened. I had my HSG (dye test) last month, and this is my first month of 100mg Clomid, so I am hoping that will be some kind of magic combination for me.  I understand what you are saying about feeling so depressed, I feel the same way every month. It seems like every month I allow myself to get all excited, and think to myself "this is going to be it," which means I just get let down harder each and every time. I would love to chat with you about it, I am still trying to get to know everyone on here, so I am open!  I am CD10 today, where are you at in your cycle?

Well like magda said I think most of us are in the same boat.  have been ttc for 6yrs and since it obviously wasnt happening on it's own I am now taking my 4th cycle of  clomid 50mg cd (cycle day) 5-9.   I am currently on CD 8 and scheduled for my 2nd IUI (intra uteran insemination) on Friday 18th.  I havent done hsg test yet but I have heard the same as your dr. told you.  One of my patients did hsg after ttc (trying to concieve) for a year and she got pregnant the next month.  Are you ovulating regularly?  If so maybe just wait another couple months and see what happens.  However if you have regular bd (sex) or I should say bd regularly, LOL ..... and you have been ttc for 2 years you may want to talk to your dr. about where to start with fertility treatments.  The 1st thing you should do is have your DH (darling husband) boyfriend or whomever, do a SA (semen analasys)  It is easy to do and 50 % of the time that is where the problem starts.  Well good luck to you and let me know how u r doing.

Good luck Leigh.
I think you'll find that there are many women on this forum in the same boat as you (although I think most here are trying something whether it be meds or IVF or what have you).  I'm currently on my third IVF try after having tried for a year.
It would be great if the HSG works for you.
Again, best of luck

he wants to also see if the dye test helps he said he has had women who had the dye test and ended up pregnant 2 months later, he figures it "cleans it out" removing any kind of "debris" that might be causing a problem anyways he says its a small chance but 50% of the women he preforms the dye test on tend to end up pregnant in about a month or two and to give it a month or two before he recommends any treatments
