cant get pregnant

hi im living in uk with my partner and i moved from sweden .I have 2 children since before one now 13 and one 15 with a ex. my partner i have now realy want a child and so do i but i cant get pregnant. when i lived in sweden they did test and said eat this and lose some waight and you be ok . nothing happend and the pills they gave me was called provera not sure if the name is same in england as in sweden. When nothing happend they said keep eating them and try lose more waight. The test they did in sweden said i was not ovulating and that i wont get pregnant untill my body is ready. and now im tierd off it im 36 years old i realy want a child and yes im overwaight but ppl bigger much bigger then me have kids why cant i :( so sad and upsett every month my partner saying dont worry it will happen and every month we hoping and nothing. still eating the pills i got but it feels usless soon only thing they do is helping me bleed nothingels. Who shuld i contact what shuld i do i dont realy know how all works in uk and not sure who to contact and get help . im working on losing my waight  but it takes time and no one can tell me drop few kg and it be fine  no one can tell me how much i need to lose or what so im confused. /worried

Jamie is right. If you don't ovulate on your own, you need a drug like clomid (clomiphene) or similar to help you ovulate. Provera basically just tricks your body into THINKING it ovulated and therefore bringing on a period each month, but unless it helps kick-start your cycles, it won't help you actually ovulate....and of course, if you don't ovulate, you won't get pregnant. So definitely ask your doctor about trying clomid. Best of luck with everything!

am glad i could help.but give clomid a try it work for me and my friend it was 50mg days 5 to 9.you can order it online its real cheap.

Thanx alot yea i will contact my doctor here and talk to him about it to. The pills they gave me is 10mg and they are for :: i link from web..

Provera is used for:
Treating certain menstrual problems (eg, abnormal bleeding, lack of menstrual period). It is used to decrease the risk of uterine cancer in certain women taking estrogen. It may also be used for otherconditions as determined by your doctor.

Provera is a progestin hormone. It works by altering the lining of the uterus.

Do NOT use Provera if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Provera
you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant
you have undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding
you have blood clots (eg, those in the lungs or legs) or a history of blood clots
you have known or suspected breast cancer or another estrogen- or progesterone-dependent cancer, or you have a history of breast cancer
you have a history of liver problems or liver disease
you have had a heart attack or stroke within the past 12 months
it is being used to test for pregnancy

I can tell that i wont get pregnant with it but i need to contact my doctor to sort it all out. Just hoping doctors in england are not as big assholes as in sweden :P
Just so frustrating to go thru doctor after doctor and never getting anywhere. thanx alot for your awser gave me some hope :)

the same thing happen to my friend she try for years and never got preg.come to find out her doc was giving her a lowdose of clomid and she is too over weight so am i and i dont ovulate on my own so my doc gave me clomid 50mg days 5 to9 and first use i got preg with my son.what is the mg of the provera?because if its too low u will not get preg.with my friend she was getting 25 mg after they up the dose to 50 she got preg.i hurd you can bye clomid on line with out a scrip.its called canandia family pharmacy.if your doc want give it to u try canadia pharmacy they will send it to u.good luck hope this helps
