False ovulation predictor tests??

Hi,
two cycles in a row I got positive results for OPT. Last cycle I took 3 tests. 1 light pink, then took 2 tests the following day one medium, then later and the line came out dark. DH and I did the BD those 2 days and I later on got my period. 2 cycles like this. Does this happen to anyone else? Are these things accurate? It seems everytime I pee on it I get a + but never get pregnant! Help!!!

Thanks for your help ladies. It's soo hard to time it. Problem for me us that u have irregular periods so I don't ovulate as much and really don't want to miss my chances!

yes, the ladies are right. You may have months and months of +opks but never catch the egg. It is maddening! Anything lighter than the control line is negative (we all have progesterone in our bodies all the time) so just disregard the 'faint ones... it's not like a pregnancy test where a little means something.

As Tryingforbaby2 said, two cycles is not very long at all and a positive OPK definitely does not mean you are going to get pregnant.  I used OPKs on and off for a couple years, got many positives, timed BD accordingly, and never got pregnant.

The opk's do work however they don't mean you will get pg. I have been doing them for a year now. I did get pg once using them before but mc and haven't had a successful month since then (9months ago). They tell when your body is getting its LG surge which is right before you O. However, from what I understand, this doesn't mean that you do O just that your body is sending out hormones to get ready to O. 2 cycles isn't very long. How long have you been TTC?
