infertility...

How likely is it to get pregnant after being diagnosed and treated for PID (pelvic inflammatory disease)? Keep in mind I've only had one child in over19 years with no other pregnancies!

Weeellll. PID is scarring of the ovaries, uterus, and Fallopian tubes. It's the cause of most infertility, so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you have about a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant. PID IS CURABLE, HOWEVER! If you have antibiotics for it, it'll go away. If you've had PID for a long time, you may be infertile. But if you've recently been diagnosed with it, you can still fix it!

This is the first time I've ever been diagnosed with PID and I was treated that very same day. I've always gone to the doctor on a regular basis. You know, regular check ups, paps, HIV test,ect... so after getting my resultsi did research of my own and became very curious of the dangerous side affects pertaining to child bearing.
