need advice : very confused on to what i should do

hello everyone, (this may seem cut and dry to some but for me this is a hard choice) I was recently notified that the my dr is now out of network. per my insurance policy I have a very high ded and financially I am not quite sure I can afford to keep with this dr due to fertility is expensive as is. so I called another fertility dr and when I spoke to her she asked me questions such as how long I been doing iui's which is 2 years and her response was that is a long time for just 1 preg and I told her I miscarried. (in which that can happen)but she kept saying for 2 years I should have gotten preg on an average 4 total. that is what they have seen with there treatments. and then I had told her that my lining is an issue and I take meds to help increase the thickness and she asked if there was a reason on why and I told her the dr just always focused on my being 40 and every question I asked, it was always my age.. I felt the dr I have now new his stuff but after talking with this other dr I feel that they would maybe dig further into an undiagnosed reason... but I am confused because I got very comfortable with the dr I have now, I did make the appointment with the new one for a consultation on june 18th. I have to wait before I start another cycle because I had a lot of large follicles left over... my boyfriend keeps telling me just go for the second opinion and maybe stick with the new dr til the end of the year and see what happens... I just need to know if anyone has a similar situation and was it hard to make that choice and did it work for you...

I would definitely go see the new doctor! You are comfortable with your current one but it doesn't seem like they are working out, at all. A new dr will have a new, and different, approach. You have tried the old one for 2 years, I would give another dr a shot. I have been going to the same dr since I was 16, and I am about to switch dr's too because after a m/c, my dr and I are just not on the same page anymore.

It can really help to have a second opinion and a fresh perspective on things. I know it can be really hard though, I am really struggling trying to go to a new dr myself. Hang in there, if this new dr helps you to conceive, won't it all be worth it?

ty ...I am confortable ,but as you said we aren't on the same page because he keep trying to sell me to do the IVF and my insurance does not pay for it, and he was promoting that he has slash the prices for out of pocket cost for the IVF and my financial state right now is not allowing me to put myself into more debt. we have started putting a savings aside if we ever do get preg and I am not using that to try to get preg... as I noted I do have an appointment on june 18th and I will go. but I think it is more of a fear thing that I have to go threw all of the procedures again... I am just so tired emotionally and physically... but I have to keep going ..thanks
