after A HSG saying my left tube was blocked and my right compromised I had a diagnostic laparoscopy yesterday and it revealed that both of my tubes are completely clear!!!! I am so relieved but we are still being referred for IVF as we have been ttc naturally for 2 and a half years. I am happy but sad at the same time as I really wanted to avoid IVF. Any advice... we are still trying naturally but I am getting soooo drained! What are these herbal remedies that keep getting mentioned? Any advice xx

You could try some of the fertility meds before moving on.  I don't know what your insurance will cover, but have you tried Clomid or anything else?  That at least isn't very expensive.  I was reading a book on infertility and the dr said to try some medicated cycles with your husband before moving on to anything else.  Also, we have a post with advice for conceiving on the ttc over 40 group that has herbs and other things mentioned that might help.  Good luck!

I am in the exact same boat......OMG!!
I was told my Right tube was blocked/clogged in sept 2009 so I did IVF.  It worked but resulted in M/C at 6 weeks.  Then sent to have another HSG & was told tubes are clear.  I can't believe it. The Dr's said that sometimes your body spasms & that it contracted closed.  When I googled it I found a few stories on it also.  I am now waiting for AF to try an IUI.  I am 38 so don't have alot of time.......but figured I would try this first. We will still use injectables.
Have you done IUI?
Does your insurance cover IVF?
