please answer me!!!!!!!!!

This forum seems to only have answers to those who are long members, but what about us newbies?  We need our answers too. Maybe even more than you guys since you seem to be pros at trying to be pg.  i had a very recent mc and i am already frustrated.  Now i am even more so since i posted this "?"...

I normally spot a few days before I have a real flow with a mencie, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me which day to count as day one on the count to ovulation... the day I start a heavy flow or the day I first see signs of af?  I am waiting to try after a mc this will be my first perioed post mc.

No one answered me, but i saw the question posted after mine get 2 responses in less than five minutes, and then others posted later got even more responses.  Could somesone tell me why you guys are so predjudice against new members of your forum.

Welcome to the forum! I'm so sorry no one responded to your question right away, but let me tell you, these girls on here are so helpful and caring! We all support each other, and give each other advice. They've gotten me through a lot! So i know you will feel welcomed here! As for your question, i would have to say if it's a little spotting don't consider that day 1. When your flow starts getting heavier, like a reg flow, consider that day 1. I've had a m/c before too, and i completely understand what you are going through right now. With me, i had an immediate need to fill the emptiness i had inside. Have faith, hon, you'll get your baby. If you need anything, you can always talk to me. Good luck!

My dr. says any time I need to wear a pad or panty liner, that counts as day 1.

I'd say the questions I love answering most are from newcomers! ;o)  I love sharing the info it's taken me years to learn.  I'm really sorry no one got to yours.  I personally have been on this site for over a year and a half (I used to have a different screen name) - and there are times my questions don't get answered either! :o)

According to fertilityfriend.com (if you haven't yet, you may wanna check it out if you're trying to keep track of stuff - I'm not even temping anymore but I still use the site to track my cycles)  when I input my bleeding info, it doesn't start a new cycle for me until after I put in something more than spotting.  As others have said, my doc says to count "full flow" as day one.   That's what I ususally do.

Sorry again and best of luck to you!

I think that the others are right with one caveat - if you have pretty decent spotting (going through a couple of pantyliners in a day, I think that you might consider that day 1 - however, if you are doing any kind of fertility treatment, I think that the office will tell you what to consider as day 1 when you give them details (at least mine did!)

I know that it's frustrating when you don't get answers right away, but I think that the biggest key to success on this forum is taking a deep breath, relaxing and not attacking anyone - good luck!

mommyof3 is right. No one is being prejudiced towards newcomers...it's just kinda slow here on weekends. As for your question, I agree with both mommyof3 and Helen. Start counting the first day of real flow as day number one.

Good luck to you!

Hey there!

I'm sorry you didn't get an answer...the only thing I can think of is A) someone wasn't sure of the answer and B) it is REALLY slow here on the weekends....when you post during the week your questions are answered in a jiffy!

To answer your question, I am not 100% sure!  I am thinking it would be the first day of your heavy flow.  The reason I say that is because the nurse at my RE said for me to call her on my first "normal flow" day of my cycle.  And then I start the clomid on day 3.

I know it can be frustrating when you don't get your answers.  I think a lot of people are on threads....join the thread that has "get lucky" in it.  Post your questions in there and you will get your answers pretty quickly!  Sometimes I get skipped too....it is frustrating.  Especially when you REALLY want an answer.

Anyway, I am pretty confident in my answer to you, but if you are want to make triple sure, google it and make double sure!

If you would like, Add me as a friend!  I hope you keep asking your questions...you will get the answers to you questions!

The first day of your heavy flow should be day 1 of your cycle.  Spotting does not count.

Welcome to the forum!
