positive and negative hpt???

Hi girls... I am supposed to have my beta tomorrow...i cheated and took a FRER this morning (7:30 am)....positive!  I then called the dr who saw me at 10:00 to take a blood test...results thihs afternoon.  after the re...I stopped at CVS and bought more HPT's...took another one at 10:30 am (same brand as before)....NEGATIVE.  is it possible to have two different results in just a few hours?  I am waiting for the RE to call with the official beta at one...but I am going crazy in the meantime.  My husband is so mad at me for testing again!

Awww....I am sorry :(  I got excited when I saw your post about the +.  Well, try to stay positive and you know you can get pregnant so the third time is a charm right !?!?

well ladies...results were negative.  can you believe it????  they said they hardly ever get a negative beta after a positive HPT same day.  Oh well....off to IVF # 3.

you ladies are all so great.  this is my second IVF and we had a chemical last time...I was so excited this morning thinking....wow...this could be it.  I have NEVER had a positive HPT in my 34 years on this planet.  I have been researching it seems that false positives are rare....but considering my fertility luck....who knows????  also, I am having light spotting...very very light.  could I get a BFP and AF in the same day?  my goodness!

I can hardly wait to hear your happy announcement!!!!!    I agree with the other ladies.  I'd go with the one done with FMU!!!!  It is soooo early right now!!!!

I agree with agini...your urine might have just been too diluted for your second test! Best of luck to you! I hope they call with some good news this afternoon!

I totally agree with agini. The FMU is the best to test if you are early being that most likely the urine was diluted. Best of luck! SSBD

goodluck to u,u know the 1st test u took early morning at that time ur urine was concentrate so keep ur hopes up,because early morning showed positive,& anotherone which u took around 10.30 by that time might had water & coffee etc etc so ur urine diluted so thats y it might showed negative,may be ur hcg level just start increasing thats y it showed potive in early morining,so dont stressout.goodluck to u.& let me know the result.& what was the brand u bought???some of them need high level of hcg to showup.let me knoe which brand u used???
