Hello and hope you are doing well.
Up to 20% of the population perceive themselves as suffering from food allergy but only 1-2% of adults have genuine food allergies. The most common culprits are peanuts, milk, eggs, soya and shellfish. You will have to observe which food, on consumption is causing this problem.
It could be an allergic reaction, more so if the symptoms have occurred with the consumption of the same food. Maintain a food dairy and note down and monitor your symptoms. This may help to narrow down the search.
The diagnosis of allergy is difficult to prove or refute. Clinical suspicion and trial of elimination diets are used. An allergy specialist might be able to help you.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Hi CJmariposa!
Welcome to the forum.
One of the most useful things we can all do is "shift" our ways of processing negative situations, illness, suffering, hardship, etc.
For example, in your condition, considering your symptoms as a sign that something is in body (physical/mental/emotional/spiritual) is off balance , is more useful let's say than the processing it just as a sensation.
There's a book titled "Illness as a Path" translation from German that explores alternative ways of looking at serious illness, that go beyond
the conventional methods of approaching illness, offering the potential of Healing.
FMS is a multi-faceted syndrome of symptoms with "unknown" etiology.
There's evidence that underlying physical and emotional imbalances are the causative factors of FMS,manifesting when one is under excessive stress, trauma, serious injury or shock (triggers).
The weakest systems are affected first, and others may follow later,
as there's an interconnection between the various organs and systems in our bodies.
Look into gut dysbiosis, leaky gut syndrome, candida, gluten intolerance
and food allergies. Carbs in general are offensive and in FMS they contribute greatly in muscle toxicity, resulting in pain, fatigue and perhaps
linked to brain fog ,anxiety, neurological symptoms, cognitive issues and g/i issues.
On your own you can do Dr. Coca's Pulse Test for Allergies and Reactions-
-even hidden or delayed-regarding anything ingested. Free download.
Try an elimination diet, alternatively. My suggestion would be to start
with simple carbs and sugars. If it feels better after a few days, you may
want to try eliminating carbs all together for the following little while.
Just do a search for elimination diets.
Wishing you well.
Post again for more details or to give us an update.
