Huntington's Disease or movement disorder & Fibromalgia

Does anyone out there have both Fibromyalgia & Huntington's Disease? Or any movement disorder? I feel like the only person in the world to have both & I need advice or just to relate, I have severe Fibromyalgia and the more I physically move my body, even minimal exertion from daily living causes my intense body  wide pain to become unbearable. 8 used to be able to get a little relief by resting my muscles completely by laying flat for hours or days to recover from the worst days. However now I can't because I have involuntary movements all over my body due to a neurological disease called Huntington's Disease. I will progressively get more severe non stop movements which will cause my pain to become excruciating at all times. Imagine your most severe relapse, the most extreme end of your pain scale, well I will get that every day if I can no longer stop moving my body to rest. Help I am so scared and don't know what to do.

Hi again bornthiswayhdbornthiswayHD.

I had replied to your previous question a couple days ago.

You may want to consider the possibility of both of these conditions,
having an underlying pathogenic Infectious condition.
My most recent post here in this the Fibro Community yesterday has detailed information, in regards to this underlying cause, which is NOTORIOUSLY difficult to diagnose, as most doctors have very little training in this field and most normal lab tests cannot detect these pathogens.
I purposely omitted any information regarding their possible involvement in Parkinson's,Huntington's and Alzheimer's, as there are too many such serious diseases not being of direct interest in this community.

Please send me a pm, if you wish to explore this further.

Note, this is not intended as a substitute for medical advice.

Best wishes.
Niko

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I can understand your concern. For Chorea of Huntignton’s disease, tetrabenazines are quite effective. Other drugs that help to reduce chorea include neuroleptics and benzodiazepines. You can talk about these drugs and get them prescribed from your doctor.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
