Need to find a physician who truly understands CFIDS/Fibromyalgia

I need to find a physician in the Central Florida-Osceola/Orange/Lake/Polk county area who is well-versed in the treatment of Fibromyalgia and CFIDS. One who will listen to me and help me. I have been in chronic pain for many, many, many years and have found no relief. No doctor I have seen has seemed to TRULY understand. They must accept my insurance which is BC/BS Federal Employees.

BEST of luck with your new physician and your doctor's appointment ! And welcome aboard.... I am glad you found your way here. I'm not sure if you've seen our Health Pages, but we have a wealth of information on CFIDS and FMS.

Thanks so very much for the info. New to this site or any site for CFIDS/Fibromyalgia. Got to learn my way around. I will definitely check it out. Just scheduled with a new Rheumatologist about 35 miles from my home who is a FEMALE. I am hoping for better luck and understanding. Wish me luck! Got a two week wait for that appointment. Have been through two rheumatologists already with no help and understanding. Hope third time is a charm or I will just keep looking. They are out there...I am sure :-)  Thanks again and hope you have a good day!

Please consider googling "Co Cure's Good Doctor List" ---- when you find their website, you will be able to click on your state and find a list of physicians who frequently diagnose and treat fibro and CFS.

I know that one of the CFS/fibro experts, Dr. Nancy Klimas, practices in Miami Florida. Her contact info is also on that list, but I hear she has a long waiting list. (as you can imagine !)

Let me know if that doesn't help.
