Hi Melissa,
I'm happy that you have chosen to go to one of Dr. Teitelbaum's clinics vs. taking Lyrica and/or other medications that normally don't help and don't solve the problem.
Yeast problems are common in chronically ill patients.... same with low thyroid. Unfortunately physicians who are not interested in fibro or CFS know this. So I applaud you, as I think you made a wise decision.
I am also detoxifying... there are some things you can do to help your symptoms. If you'd like, I can list them for you... let me know !
Hi,
I would be grateful if you could. I'd like as much info/help/suggestions as possible.
Thank you very much!! This seems such a great supportive forum.
Melissa
Wow, 29 vials of blood...I guess I was lucky to get away with 20! Wait until your next appointment when they go over everything. You will learn a great deal and take notes.
The detox they are probably referring to are the IVs. The IVs work like an immune booster and it is also like a detox. I got really ill from the first two and then that part got better. The IVs offer you a jump start on your treatment. Depending on what chronic infections you have, you may be put on other treatments which will make you worse before better also. I have only done the IVs and the thyroid treatment they recommended so far and I am trying some natural things on my own, if those don't work for me, I'll be going back for some of the other treatments.
If you have anymore questions or concerns. let me know.
Warmest Regards
Hi ! Here is a link to some inexpensive treatments you can do at home to help you with your herxing (detox) symptoms. In addition to these treatments, I also add lemon juice to my drinking water.

I'm so happy for you (not that you have FMS/CFS, but that now you know what is going on) and can be treated properly. That's great news!!!
Getting a bit worse, before better, is a small price (as it would most likely have gotten worse in the long run on its own).
Please keep us updated as you progress and best of luck on your new journey.
