What do tender points feel like?

I am curious to know what tender point pain feels like. I have pain in areas that seem to correlate to the majority of the tender points, but I can't find any information on what type of pain is typical. Sharp and stabbing? Deep and aching? Burning?

All of the above :)

Not to be funny, but depending on the day it can be burining, aching, or mildly sore.  Some days I feel like I want to peel my skin off, others it is a mere annoyance.  The only consistant thing for me is that mine are palpable.

... It's hard for me to describe.  Mine feels very deep and radiating.  I think it feels like a really bad case of the flu.  You know that all over ache that makes it impossible to think straight.

Mine are painful to touch.  Sometimes it hurts to lean against something, or my hair and skin hurt for no reason. It makes me grind my teeth at night, too. I don't like anyone to touch my arms or legs when I'm going through an episode. I've felt a little better since I cut our carrageenan.
