I just looked at the forums listing (couldn't do that while I was in the middle of typing you a message before) and the Women's Health forum is listed under the medical support community area (patient to patient).  Those forums are listed on the left side of the forum page.  Just because it's not listed under the "expert" forums, sometimes there are doctors that monitor the patient to patient forums also and sometimes provide answers to our questions, so you may still be able to get an answer from a physician on there.  If not, I've always found the fellow members/patients on here very knowledgeable and helpful.

Again, best of luck.

You'll probably have better luck posting this question in the Women's Health Forum rather than here in the fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue forum.

You can go to the top of the webpage and click on forums and there is a whole listing of teh forums that are available - both the patient to patient ones, like this one, as well as "expert" forums where doctors volunteer some of their time to provide answers to patient's questions.  I'm sorry, offhand I don't recall if the women's health forum is in the patient to patient section or the expert section.

Best of luck - my mom suffered a long time with fibroids - back then the only option was total hysterectomy.  She's never regretted having that surgery though - the fibroids and associated heavy bleeding (to point of hemorragh) were definitely ruining her life.
