Since February I have had aches near and around my adams apple. It comes and goes. Went to my gastro doc and he believes it is an ENT issue. My gastro scoped me 2 years ago and found gastritis and a little reflux-nothing horrible. I'm taking 40mg of omeprazole each day. I noticed that I had what felt to be a larger than normal lymph node on the right side of my neck too. I was put on an antibiotic and had a ultrasound of the neck area. The antibiotic seemed to work and the ultrasound just found lymph nodes but they appear to be normal shape and size. I went to my ENT and the doc wasn't concerned with the lymph nodes (may have been from a cut on my ear/inflammation) and he did a scope of my throat. Everything appears normal. He checked my neck and found no nodules around the thyroid and didn't feel any noticeable lymph nodes. He's going to recheck the area in 2 months. My gastro said he could do another endoscopy - he's going to see me in two months too for a follow up. I might get a physical soon - this way i'll get my bloodwork done too. I don't mind getting an endoscopy or have thyroid test to rule things out but also I don't want to take any unnecessary test too. I would guess better safe than sorry.
