Face/Neck/Head Pressure

Not sure if this is a GERD/LPRD  related question or not. For several months now, when I bend over, my head gets very thick and stuffy and feels like the blood is pooling there. Veins stand out in my neck and forehead. If I get down on the ground to search for something under a buffet table or something like that (my cats love to hide my keys) the pressure is unbearable. When I right myself, it takes a second but most of the pressure and pain go away. Lately I've been having this feeling at more and more. I can't lay flat on the ground on my back or in bed--I have to sleep on my side. I thought maybe it was sinus pressure, but my nose is mostly clear and I'm not getting any infected looking discharge. I had been having trouble with acid reflux, but I've taken steps to calm that down. Could the reflux (LPRD) be related to the head pressure/pain? I am 26, have never had any serious health issues and I'm told my blood pressure is on the low side. My face and neck have been feeling a little hot recently too--something's not quite right. I've also had a variable ringing in my ears for a couple months too. What is going on?! Is this a blood pressure related thing, a heart related thing, a reflux related thing, a diet related thing? I have been very frustrated about this and somewhat worried too. I appreciate any help or steps to take to get rid of the problem.

Thanks. I had never noticed the connection before. I spent the night out of town last night and the symptoms I listed abated slightly. I'm back at my ancient musty farmhouse now and my nose is all clogged up already. Hmmm...once spring is a little more present I can open all the windows fully and air the place out a bit. Thanks again for that suggestion.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It is possible that there are more than just one thing going on.
You may have post nasal drip....that is affecting ur gerd....So a sinus isse may be at play in addition to a BP issue.

I would get my sinues checked and inner ear....BP...and I am sure u r already on something for the gerd.

The health pages here on MedHelp have infor on foods to avoid and  tips to help lessen the amount of acid produced.

I was having heart palps with all my issues and had testing to rule it out...and it was not a heart issue, but I am glad we checked it and I now have a reference for the future if ne issues do arise.

Please post an pdate on ur progress or ne other questions u may have.
