I have had similar type problems. It has been awful! I tried earl grey tea with bergomot essence flavoring. I drjnk one cup in the am. No coffee! I also may take a Pepcid in the afternoon. This combo seems to help me!!!
I have had similar symptoms. I did have a endoscopy which zhowed gastritis, and a ulcer. I am not an expert in the field and you shoild listen to your dr's recommendations. For me, i began to do some research. I stopped coffee in the am. I started drinking earl grey tea with the bergomot flavoring. I kept this up and most of my symptoms have not appeared. Now, I also take a Peocid 20 mg in the afternoon. It seems that this combo works for me. This is what i do and have found somewhat successful,
I would like to know if you have tried it.
The stomach is composed of 4 parts: cardia, fundus, body, and antrum/pylorus (listed from beginning to end). Hiatal hernia is when a portion of the stomach pooches upward above the diaphragm. This typically involves the beginning parts of the stomach, not the end parts of the stomach. While the poster may have a hiatal hernia associated with GERD, this would not account for the extrinsic compression of the antrum of the stomach seen on upper endoscopy.
Probably a hiatal hernia. They are common and can cause gerd.
