Gerd / Gastritis

I had an upper endoscopy. Esophagus clear , gastritis, 2 polyps in body of stomach and they said  something looked as if it was pushing the stomach in the limits of the antrum-stomach and maybe its nothing but I should do an abdomen cat scan. What could they be looking for?

Probably a hiatal hernia.  They are common and can cause gerd.

The stomach is composed of 4 parts: cardia, fundus, body, and antrum/pylorus (listed from beginning to end). Hiatal hernia is when a portion of the stomach pooches upward above the diaphragm. This typically involves the beginning parts of the stomach, not the end parts of the stomach. While the poster may have a hiatal hernia associated with GERD, this would not account for the extrinsic compression of the antrum of the stomach seen on upper endoscopy.

I have had similar symptoms.  I did have a endoscopy which zhowed gastritis, and a ulcer.  I am not an expert in the field and you shoild listen to your dr's recommendations.   For me, i began to do some research.  I stopped coffee in the am.   I started drinking earl grey tea with the bergomot flavoring.  I kept this up and most of my symptoms have not appeared.  Now, I also take a Peocid 20 mg in the afternoon.  It seems that this combo works for me.  This is what i do and have found somewhat successful,
I would like to know if you have tried it.
