It is quite possible to experience acid reflux, or increased heartburn when taking antibiotics. Yes antibiotics are good for a number of conditions and in fact quite necessary. But, these often destroy gut flora by killing both the harmful bacteria and the good ones that are needed to provide relief from digestion related problems. In fact these good bacteria are not only good for digestion but to balance gut flora, fight off other bacteria that make us sick and also support urinary tract.
So this is where probiotics come in. They boost the immune system by supporting the gut, digestion and also preventing UTIs.
Generally, yogurts, kefir, fermented milk and kombucha are some examples of probiotics but you might also want to consider probiotic supplements like Flourish Probiotics by Eu Natural. Which is a completely natural supplement made from healthy bacteria, from a reliable brand.
