LPR reflux or GERD?

Hi all, i had a bad reflux few weeks ago and had a globus sensation after. I had visited a doctor who prescribed me with some omeprazole.

Recently, my globus sensation may one appear after i have a meal and be gone after a few hours. Sometimes, when i have little for my meals, there will not be this sensation. However, no matter how small my meals are, I'll still burp a lot and have some refluxes. Now i am lossing appetite and weight. And also, I have slowly developed sore throat. Any advice what's going on now? Is what I'm experiencing GERD or LPR? I don't experience any heartburn.

Does anyone knows if I can ever recover from this? If so, how long will it take? It's really depressing because I can't eat like I used to.

Hi....heartburn does not always accompany LPR....so it is possible....

Sore throat could be LPR....but do see your Dr about these changes.

How long it takes will depend on you...see my reply to your other thread.

When you go to a smaller meal, you may need to eat more meals....exp- instead of 3 meals....maybe 5 or 6 small meals....especially with weight loss try to eat more frequently, but mindful of what you eat, drink as it will affect your reflux and how you feel..

See your Dr and let us know what you find out.
