Maybe too much omeprazole?

Last month my gastro doctor upgraded my omeprazole from 20mg to 40mg - mainly because my insurance company doesn't cover omeprazole 20mg anymore because it is available over the counter. So I have been taking 40mg once a day for about a month. Lately my stomach has been feeling a little queasy with bloated gas. I'm wondering if I'm getting too much omeprazole and may have too little acid.  Been having throat/neck aches my ENT said to stay on the omeprazole because it's possible I might  have reflux affect the throat. Any suggestions?  Thank you again!
