How long for Alcohol after TIF surgery?

How long after TIF surgery until I can have some alcoholic beverages? Doc said he put 14 stitches in me.  I like beer but I know that is caffeinated so I will have to wait longer for that. What about vodka cranberry? Anyone know? I only had my surgery 8 days ago so I know not yet but holidays are coming up and Im going away for NYE. Would like to be able to have a few with my girl sometimes soon. Its funny how you dont realize how much socializing is done over eating and drinking. Two things I cant do right now. haha Thank you for your help. BTW I am feeling pretty good. I am shocked how much better I feel every day. The beginning was brutal but gets so much better. Also, the liquid diet is driving me insane.

My Dr gave me a menu by weeks what I can and cannot eat. After 8 weeks I can have Alcohol. All in due time. It's been 3 weeks going on 4 weeks this Friday and I am eating soft fish like Cod..oh and steamed Veggies.
Hope this helps you.

Continue on the liquid diet as long as you can, it will help you heal.  By liquid, I mean nothing denser than an egg noodle for another week.  It won't hurt you, and help you recover.  I've been there, done that.

I still can't drink beer after 5 years, or any carbonated beverage.  If the surgery was successful, you can't burp without great pain.

I was able to handle some really low-acid wine after two weeks, like Pinor Noir served cold, with ice, in little increments.  Don't hurry the dietary or alcohol comeback.  I'd bet your girl is going to pamper you if you show great restraint, that can't be all bad.
