Nissen post-op

hi, i had the Nissen surgery earilier this week and am aware that the many discomforts I'm having are normal.  The one symptom I have found no info on is the fact that I can't seem to lay on my left side.  It's as though my stomach just will not settle into place on that side, and the discomfort gets so much in less than a minute or so that I have to adjust.  Any reason why this might be?  I also have a kind of tight feeling in my lower left side abdomin now.  Thanks for any advice....

I am 4 weeks out of hiatal hernia repair. The first 4 weeks have been very challenging. I have experienced lots of discomforts and it is normal to be concerned. My Dr. said all looked well and was impressed with my rapid recovery. I just started sleeping on my side about one week ago, still eating soft foods and wake up with some pain, but it goes away. This is a very serious surgery and should be taken that way. Be Blessed.
