Tight throat

i have had a feeling in my throat for the past two weeks and i have no idea why. Does this have any thing to do with gerds??

Good luck with ur FNA....I can not go against ur dr as I am not that well versed on thyroid issues, but stella, 898, and many of the other members in the thyroid forum may be able to answer u.

Hi selma,
my fna is tomorrow inshalla, The doctor said that my goitor is too small to cause tightness or difficulty in breathing..each one of my lobes is around 4.5cm

Hi...and welcome to the GERD forum.

I wish I knew for sure, drs may say a certain size may be the normal, but we are all different and will notice it at diff stages.So IMHO I do not think there can be an answer to that.U know u feel a tightness and u have the nodules.....did u have a FNA?
I was told mine were too small for that and I get the tightness also...it comes and goes tho.

May I ask what do u ENDO dr say?...DO u have Hashimoto's thyroiditis?
U may want to look into the thyroid forum here on MedHelp also and see if they may be able to assist you.

when does a multinodular goitor causes a tightness of throat? i have 5 noduls the biggest one is 1.5 and i feel a tightness in my throat for some time?!!!

HI, as I mentioned it is possible it is a gerd issue and it could be thyroid.U really need to see a dr to get a dx so u can start treatment.
