Hi...I have not heard of a transference from the father to the fetus, but deff from the mother.....the issue can be that mayb the mother has had something in ur system or diet that has caused this.
If she modifies her diet, and is breast feeding it may help....many babies get this also from stress the mother is under.....
My DD had gerd as a baby and outgrew it thankfully, but did have some foods we had to avoid when she was a toddler...like red food dye was a biggie....so pay attention to signs of hives after introducing new foods.
Good luck

Well, I have heard that this problem happens in most the teens and children of 14 years of age and there my be many symptoms that makes it worse and leads to chronic disorders as in human body stomach is the most sensitive organ and we have to take proper care of it by eating less and proper.
Thanks
Hi! I am not sure if GERD can be a result of a parent taking Suboxone. I'm sure it's possible. You could check to see what class of drug it is as it relates to pregnancy.
However, I do know that GERD is pretty common in infants. I took my son, 9 at the time, to a pediatric gastroenterologist for chronic vomiting. (He's doing very well now!) There were so many strollers with tiny babies in the office!!! I asked the doc why so many babies. He said that it is quite common for babies to have GERD, until they are a little more developed.
I hope you have found a really good pediatric gastroenterologist, and that your baby is doing well! Take care!!
