Hi,
Hemangiomas are usually harmless lesions.
But when they are large (>10 cm), they have to be resected because of the complications they can cause.
No medical therapy is known to reduce the size of hepatic hemangiomas or to eliminate hepatic hemangiomas.
The other treatment options available are - arterial embolization, radiofrequency ablation, hepatic irradiation, and orthotopic liver transplantation.
